GP Pathfinder Clinics

We are particularly keen to hear from GPs with a special interest in mental health or dermatology, although this is not essential. This is an ideal role for GPs seeking a supported pathway to develop extended roles or leadership opportunities.

Position Summary:
As a Salaried GP, you will deliver outstanding clinical care, attend regular clinic and management meetings, and contribute to the success of our clinics. This role is fixed-term for one year, with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care via face-to-face, video, and telephone consultations.
- Undertake patient home visits and nursing home visits when required.
- Manage administrative tasks, including reviewing test results, signing repeat prescriptions, responding to queries, and completing referrals promptly.
Collaboration and Development:
- Participate in regular clinic and management meetings.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Explore opportunities to develop leadership skills or extended roles, with tailored support.
Supportive Environment:
- Engage in daily clinician drop-ins to discuss challenging cases and share learning.

Qualifications and Experience – Must Haves:
- Registered GP with a valid GMC license (or about to CCT up to 2025).
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in primary care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Desirable Skills:
- Special interest in mental health or dermatology.
- Knowledge of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
- Awareness of public health issues and wider health arena challenges.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records.
Working Pattern:
- 6–8 clinical sessions per week.
